We also have affordable options for GLP-1 medications if your insurance does not cover the medication or if you don’t wish to use insurance; specifically, as a RoenRx weight loss member, we can ship semaglutide, the main active ingredient in Wegovy and Ozempic, or Tirzepatide, the main active ingredient in Zepbound and Mounjaro, directly to your home. The first month of membership, which includes your medical care, 1:1 coaching, insurance coordination team to help get medication covered by your insurance (if prescribed), and access to compound medications that are affordable without insurance, is currently discounted at just $39. Note that compound medications, such as semaglutide or other GLP-1 medications, themselves are not included in the price of membership but are available for as little as $151/month (when purchasing a 3 month supply).

How does RoenRx create a personalized weight loss treatment plan?

We start by gathering details about your health history, symptoms, and treatment preferences to build a comprehensive health profile. This information is used to create a personalized medical record, enabling your provider to deliver a weight loss plan tailored specifically to you.

With a variety of personalized treatments available, your provider will use your unique health profile to select the plan that best supports your needs and goals.

How long will I need to be a RoenRx Weight Loss Program member to see results?

Our RoenRx Care Team can work with you to lose 15-20% of your body weight on average in roughly a year through GLP-1 medication, such as Zepbound, Mounjaro, Ozempic, or Semaglutide, and a personalized weight plan to help you reach your target weight. Individual results may vary. You will also have a dedicated coach who will support you on your path to lasting weight loss.

You can communicate with your care team in three ways:

Is the entire program completely online?

Yes, the program is 100% online and you will not need to schedule appointments! Your RoenRx medical provider will review your intake and determine the best weight loss treatment plan, which may include GLP-1 medication. You will be matched to a coach who you can message with in our secure portal any time.

Is there a mobile app?

The RoenRx app is available both on iOS and Android.

Is my medical information private?

Yes, we take member privacy very seriously and have implemented strict security protocols to protect your information.

Weight Loss Medications

What medications do you prescribe?

Based on your intake form, our RoenRx Care Team may prescribe a GLP-1 medication (if eligible) such as Zepbound, Wegovy, Ozempic, or Mounjaro, or a compounded GLP-1 medication such as semaglutide or tirzepatide, to help you reach your weight loss goals. A GLP-1 medication may help you feel satisfied with fewer calories and will help you lose weight. Does RoenRx prescribe Zepbound, Wegovy, Ozempic, or Mounjaro?

Yes, RoenRx’s licensed healthcare providers can prescribe medications like Zepbound, Wegovy, Ozempic, and Mounjaro, depending on your individual needs and health profile. During your online consultation, a provider will assess whether these FDA-approved medications are the right option for you. In addition to these branded treatments, we also offer more affordable compounded versions of semaglutide and tirzepatide, providing flexibility based on your preferences and budget.

Is Semaglutide the same as Wegovy and Ozempic?

Semaglutide is the active ingredient in Wegovy and Ozempic. Semaglutide is often more cost effective for RoenRx members whose insurance deny coverage of brand name medication like Wegovy or who are uninsured. At RoenRx we’re dedicated to providing you affordable healthcare. For those who are clinically eligible, we offer monthly or quarterly shipments of semaglutide for as little as $151/month, with or without insurance.

Can I purchase multiple months of compound GLP-1?

RoenRx Weight Loss members can get 20% off if they purchase 3 month supplies of semaglutide (active ingredient in Wegovy) or tirzepatide. With RoenRx, you could pay as little as $151/month for semaglutide, and as little as $216/month. We offer compound GLP-1 like Semaglutide which is the main active ingredient in Wegovy for as little as $151/month. We also offer Tirzepatide which is the main active ingredient in Zepbound for as little as $216/month. We’ll be able to ship compound GLP-1 straight to your door (no prior authorization submission required). Most Zealthy members will start on a compound GLP-1 (semaglutide or tirzepatide), while their care team works with the member’s insurance to see if they’ll be able to cover one of the GLP-1 medications.

If I order compound GLP-1 then how long does it take to get my medication?

To speed up the process, make sure that you answer all questions in the intake form and keep an eye on your provider’s review so you can answer any additional questions s/he may have. Once your provider has reviewed your request for semaglutide or tirzepatide, it typically takes 2-7 business days for the pharmacy to process your order and ship it to you via 2-Day shipping.

Most members receive their Rx 2-9 business days after their provider has provided their treatment plan (if approved).

Can you ship the medication to my home?

Yes! We can ship compound GLP-1 like semaglutide (active ingredient in Wegovy) or tirzepatide (active ingredient in Zepbound) straight to your home. We offer 1 month or 3 month supplies of semaglutide for as little as $151/month and tirzepatide for as little as $216/month.

If I order a 3 month supply of Semaglutide or Tirzepatide, will I receive it in one package?

It depends, if you do not have a California shipping address and request a 3 month supply of semaglutide or tirzepatide then members will receive 1 shipment with 3 vials. Each vial includes a month’s worth of compounded GLP-1 medication. It’s important to check your RoenRx portal to see how many units you should inject.
All California members that have been prescribed 3 months of semaglutide will receive their order in 3 shipments. A 1 month supply will be sent every month for 3 months. This is a total of 3 vials and currently only for California members.

Are GLP-1 medications safe?

Yes, some GLP-1 medications are FDA-approved and have been scientifically proven to help people lose weight. GLP-1 medications such as Zepbound and Wegovy, which are FDA approved for weight loss, have been able to help people lose weight and keep it off. Other medications like Compounded Semaglutide and Compounded Tirzepatide are frequently used off label for weight loss.

Does my membership include medication costs?

Some but not all medications related to your weight loss program will be included in your prescription. For example, while medications like metformin are included, GLP-1 medication is not. However, as a RoenRx Weight Loss member, you will have a coordination team dedicated to getting insurance coverage for your medication so you can pay as little as $25 per month (co-pay) for appropriately prescribed medications like Zepbound, Mounjaro, Ozempic, or Wegovy.
Additionally, as a RoenRx Weight Loss member, you’ll have access to compound semaglutide, the main active ingredient in Wegovy and Ozempic, for as little as $151/month including shipping, and compound tirzepatide, the main active ingredient in Zepbound and Mounjaro for as little as $216/month including shipping.

Are there side effects to GLP-1 medications?

Your RoenRx Provider will work with you to prescribe a medication that will be customized to your preferences. It’s important to log the side effects you may be facing in your RoenRx home page.

Will my provider ever deny me a prescription?

Your RoenRx provider is dedicated to help you achieve lasting weight loss. Based on your intake form your provider will determine the best treatment plan for you, which may be a GLP-1 medication. If you do have a medication preference then you can discuss it with your provider through our unlimited messaging feature.

Do I need to make any changes to my diet?

Our clinicians commonly prescribe GLP-1 medications that are appetite suppressants, which means that you may not feel the same level of cravings that you typically do. Your weight loss coach can help you find a balanced diet and regular exercise routine to ensure you achieve your weight loss goals.

When will I get charged for my Semaglutide or Tirzepatide?

If your provider determines you’re eligible for Semaglutide or Tirzepatide then you’ll be charged once the provider sends the prescription to one of our partner pharmacies to ship directly to your home. You’ll receive a receipt from our team once the payment is successful and the order has been received by our partner pharmacy, and you will only be charged for medication if prescribed.

How is GLP-1 administered?

It’s most commonly administered by injection. Injections are administered with a small insulin needle. You can inject this right into your stomach. These are generally given once a week. It’s important to review your treatment plan that your provider sent before injecting yourself.

Insurance Coverage

What’s a prior authorization?

The prior authorization (PA) process starts before you start your treatment, which may be a GLP-1 medication like Ozempic or Wegovy. As a RoenRx Weight Loss member, you have a Coordinator who will file a prior authorization to your insurance. This is paperwork that your care team sends to your insurance company to request coverage for a medication.

Do you take insurance?

Yes, our coordinators will work closely with you to get your medication covered, reducing the price from $1,349 to roughly $25/month if we are successful with brand name medications. We will collect all of the information we can about you to ensure that we can optimize your chances of having your prior authorization approved to have your medication covered by insurance, and then our insurance coordination team will work hard to follow up and ensure that your insurance company makes an informed decision about coverage. Even if you don’t have insurance or your insurance won’t approve these medications, we offer semaglutide, the active ingredient in Wegovy, and tirzepatide, the active ingredient in Zepbound.

Does RoenRx submit prior authorization requests to insurance?

Remember that you must have an active weight loss membership with RoenRx to have an active prior authorization to have GLP-1 medication covered by insurance with RoenRx. This is because your healthcare provider must be able to monitor your treatment plan for its entire duration so that you can achieve lasting weight loss.

How long will it take to hear back about my PA?

The response times vary, generally it is between 2-14 business days. The PA has to be reviewed by your insurance's clinical pharmacists and/or medical doctors that will determine if it's approved. Your care coordinator will notify you once they hear back from your insurance about next steps.

What if my insurance denies my prior authorization submission?

We’re dedicated to ensuring you reach your weight loss goals! We’ll submit up to 3 prior authorization requests on your behalf. Many RoenRx members will start on compound GLP-1 like semaglutide or tirzepatide while they wait to hear from their insurance regarding their prior authorization status. Get started here:

What if insurance doesn’t cover my medication?

Do you take government insurance?

The RoenRx weight loss program is not available to those on government insurance. This is to ensure that RoenRx complies with all relevant laws and regulations.

What is the RoenRx Weight Loss Doctor + GLP-1 Plan?

We have two bundled plans to help you achieve lasting weight loss. Your weight loss and semaglutide bundle of $217 for your first month ($297 every month after) includes all care and semaglutide medication. Your weight loss and tirzepatide bundle of $349 for your first month ($449 every month after) includes all care and tirzepatide medication. Specifically, it includes a provider review and written prescription for semaglutide or tirzepatide (if appropriate), and Rx sent to your home. If you require a higher dose than the traditional titration schedule you can pay an additional fee to get the dose you need. We'll be there with you every step of the way to ensure you achieve lasting weight loss. You will be eligible for a refund if you are not eligible for semaglutide or tirzepatide, no questions asked.

Do I have to pay for my medication separately for the Weight Loss Doctor + Semaglutide or similar Plans?

No, your compound GLP-1 is included in your monthly membership cost. Our compound Semaglutide Bundle is $217 for your first month, and our compound Tirzepatide Bundle is $349 for your first month. We’ll ship your Rx straight to your door every month that your membership is active.

What if I'm not eligible for compound GLP-1 medication?

We have a 30-day satisfaction guarantee, so if your provider determines you’re not eligible then we’ll issue the refund.

When will my medication be shipped after I completed the sign up form?

Your provider will review your request within 1-2 business days and determine your weight loss treatment plan, if you're eligible. Be on the lookout for any clarification questions from your provider. It generally takes between 5-9 days from when your provider sends the prescription to the pharmacy for it to be delivered to your preferred address.

Billing

Will my account be automatically billed?

Yes, memberships are charged every month on the same day of the first membership charge, but you can cancel any time. Many members receive a 20% discount on their membership for 2 months if they purchase the 3 month supply of compound GLP-1. How can I change my payment information?

Will it automatically charge my card once I've updated my payment method?

Once a payment method has been updated, your card will automatically be retried.

Do you accept HSA/FSA funds?

How can I cancel my account?

You can cancel your membership easily by selecting “Manage membership” in your profile then select “Manage plan” to cancel your membership. https://app.roenrx.com/patient-portal/profile

Where is my refund?

If your purchase is eligible for a refund and has been confirmed that it was issued by our team it should be back in your account within 7-10 business days depending on your bank. Please keep in mind that we can only issue a refund back to your original form of payment, so if you cancel that form of payment we are unable to issue a refund of any kind. Any other questions or concerns on your refund please message your care team or email support@roenrx.com.

Is this a one-time plan?

All our weight loss memberships are recurring, since it’s important to be under a provider’s care while on medication. You can cancel at any time.

Can I pause my membership?

Unfortunately we’re not able to pause your subscription. However, you can delay shipments from the home page of your RoenRx portal if you select "Manage subscription." The reason you cannot pause your subscriptino is that it’s important to be under a provider’s care while you're on medication. If you choose to cancel your membership, please notify your provider regarding discontinuing your medication. Canceled memberships will have their prior authorizations to cover GLP-1 medication canceled and will not be eligible for refills, since our medical providers won’t be able to monitor your treatment plan if you cancel.
